NOKIA C3-01 GOLD EDITION, CHEAP GOLD-PLATED MOBILE PHONE
Nokia presents new gold-plated cell phones, C3-01 Gold Edition. Yes, this phone is a modification of the C3-01 that had long been on the market. C3-01 is not a smartphone because it is still based on S40 software.
However, the facility is complete in feature phone category, for example by the presence of HSDPA connectivity and 5MP camera with LED Flash. The Nokia C3-01 Gold Edition is different from the ‘vanilla’ C3-01 Touch and Type in just two regards. The first one is that it’s plated with 18-carat gold, and the second would be that it got a brand new 1 GHz processor. Yes, a 1 GHz processor and gold plating on an affordable featurephone. Talk about strange (or useless?) additions.
Anyway, back to the phone. The C3-01 Gold Edition has quad-band GSM, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen, a 5 MP camera with flash, and microSD support. Software-wise, there’s Nokia Messaging for email and IM, and Nokia Communities for Facebook and Twitter, alongside the new Nokia S40 Browser and the Ovi Store, naturally.
The Nokia C3-01 Gold Edition is intended primarily for Eastern European and Middle Eastern markets, and it’s already available in some countries for about €220 before taxes and subsidies.
